$700 Dollar Day & the Most Ridiculous Item of the Day

Last Wednesday was a $700 day! What does that mean? Any guesses? What can you do with $700? Car payment (eek! or 2, I hope) Pay rent? Buy LOTS & LOTS of clothes? Groceries for a month? Well, let me show you what we got for $700. This is only the first part of that $700, so truthfully this picture represents $400. Pocket change.

What you see here are doctor's orders for blood work for Kyan & Kynsie. Those boxes are urine test kits. The bottles are supplements that are already part of our daily regimen. Not pictured is the 1 hr phone call with Dr. Bernui. Yeah, that wasn't cheap.

The new action plan involves only small changes for Braylen & Kynsie. For Kyan, there are several new steps. First chelation. I anxious to see whatcomes out in his urine. I wonder if it will show heavy metals like thimerosal (a known neurotoxin) that is supposedly so safe for babies. If so, if he purges this lovely heavy metal, I am sure it won't effect his body or brain at all, because again, according to "experts" it is totally safe, good even to inject infants with a known neurotoxin.

Side Bar--here's the part of this article that I find more than a little ridiculous. OK, lets look at the toxicology of thimerosal for a moment. I simply got this from Wikipedia but it serves as a nice starting point:

Toxicology
Thimerosal is very toxic by inhalation, ingestion, and in contact with skin (EC hazard symbol T+), with a danger of cumulative effects. It is also very toxic to aquatic organisms and may cause long-term adverse effects in aquatic environments (EC hazard symbol N).[9] In the body, it is metabolized or degraded to ethylmercury (C2H5Hg+) and thiosalicylate.[3]

Few studies of the toxicity of thimerosal in humans have been performed. Cases have been reported of severe poisoning by accidental exposure or attempted suicide, with some fatalities.[10] Animal experiments suggest that thimerosal rapidly dissociates to release ethyl mercury after injection; that the disposition patterns of mercury are similar to those after exposure to equivalent doses of ethyl mercury chloride; and that the central nervous system and the kidneys are targets, with lack of motor coordination being a common sign. Similar signs and symptoms have been observed in accidental human poisonings. The mechanisms of toxic action are unknown. Fecal excretion accounts for most of the elimination from the body. Ethyl mercury clears from blood with a half-life of about 18 days in adults. Ethyl mercury clears from the brain in about 14 days in infant monkeys. Inorganic mercury metabolized from ethyl mercury has a much longer clearance, at least 120 days; it appears to be much less toxic than the inorganic mercury produced from mercury vapor, for reasons not yet understood.[11]

Vaccinations from http://dmsachelation.com/autism/
Vaccinations are the #1 mercury exposure in infants, and the #2 exposure in adults.
25% of vaccines today still contain mercury.
Flu shots still contain mercury.
When mercury is removed from flu shots, it is replaced with other heavy metals such as aluminum and formaldehyde.

Mercury is used as a preservative in vaccinations. Vaccinations are currently a hot topic of debate with some parents linking autism to vaccinations. Flu shots contain mercury also, as a preservative. According to the EPA the average child can tolerate 0.3 micrograms of mercury. Note that a 2 month old infant receiving all 4 scheduled vaccinations (DtaP, Polio, Hib, Hepatitus B) will have a mercury level of 62.5 micrograms, 125 times higher than the EPA ’safe’ level.

In spite of the known dangers, and in spite of what many docs say--that vaccines are now thimerisol free, the CDC lets us know that thimerisol is still routinely used as a preservative in childhood vaccines. Here is a link that shows you which ones still contain thimerisol. So yah, I'm a little angry, but what else is new?

So sidebar over. Chelation. We are going to do chelation, and maybe nothing will show, but I am anxious to see what comes of it. Kyan's blood work from July indicates that he may have a chronic, low-lying viral infection. So antivirals will be on board once we do the initial chelation challenge. We are upping everyone's B12 shots to every 2 days instead of every 3, primarily because Kyan does SO well the day after a B 12 shot, and then goes backward until the next shot. He seems to really be benefiting from them, so we are increasing the frequency. Kynsie & Braylen's doses will increase due to weight gain. We are adding Lugol's Iodine Solution to help with thyroid function. Adding Vit D 3. We will continue anti-fungals for all 3. I think that is basically it. The remaining $300+ was the pharmacy bill for the chelators, Lugol's & antifungals for all 3. Yeah, none of that covered by insurance. That's our $700 dollar day.

Want to show you a couple of videos that are just more explanation than anything.

That statement at the end about kids under 2 receiving mercury-free vaccines is smply untrue. Again, see link above from CDC website. MANY infant vaccines still have some level of thimerisol. Saying a vaccine is mercury-free is like saying a cookie is fat free. Is the cookie truly free of fat? What do you think? What happens if you eat a entire box of snackwell cookies? Do you gain weight? You betcha! There is a cumulative effect. All those little parts of fat add up to big fat in high quantities. Fat-free simply means the cookie (or vaccine...in mercury-free) has the amount the FDA says is ok to be labeled as fat/mercury free. It does NOT mean there is no mercury in it.
