Garden Update

For those who are interested, here is a garden update. My cucumbers and squash are growing like crazy! I had to put tomato cages down to let the cucumbers grow on them instead of attaching themselves to every other plant in the garden. Tomatoes are doing well though I realized that I was over watering them and had to chill out on that. I also have discovered (with Mamaw's help) that I have 5 tomato plants that came up volunteer--in other words they were not 'planted' but came up from random seeds that deposited when I turned the ground and old plants over before sewing. Problem is, those 5 tomato plants are in the middle of my green beans and I obviously did not account for them when I was sewing the greenbean seeds. SO I am not sure how they will fare or how I will stake them, but we shall see. Strawberries are also finally producing. I have to beat the ants to them though. I usually get 2 or 3 a day. Not enough to eat much but they are running like crazy so next year I should have good crop I hope. Here are some pictures from last night.

I'm jealous. Our tomatoe & squash plants are still little things - we planted late.

And, I just saw your counter at the bottom of the page. Are you guys really going to the Bahamas?! Take me with you!!!
