this week on...

well, here we are in the second week of october and we have come to week 28 of pregnancy!! YAY!!! we want to say thank you for all the prayers and support through this. here is our weekly picture for week 28...

Today, we went to the diabetes specialist/dietician to have a consultation about Gestational Diabetes. Basically, what we found out is that we (Sunny) have to lower carbs and prick her finger four times a day to check her blood sugar. it is another needle that she has to deal with now, i do feel for her...i don't like needles at all. She wanted me to tell you that overall she has gained 47 lbs. we think that possibly she could gain a total of 60lbs before this adventure is over. Right now she is at 171lbs. (she started at 124lbs.--she knows that i am typing this and has ok'd this message.)
I thought also that I would include a picture of her "nest" that she sits in while she is at home during the day... (this used to be our office/music/misc./brandon's room...thus the picture of Gandolf on the wall. there are other pictures of the Beatles and a couple of albums hung on the wall...(an unopened orig. Abbey Road album, "The Long Run" album by the Eagles and Let It Be...Beatles)

That is all her pillows and her computer is there and we keep her well stocked with everything that she needs. what you don't see in the picture is the huge glass of water that she keeps on the shelf beside the phone. this is in our second bedroom and we just sit and watch tv and relax. we hardly go into the living room anymore, but we do go into the living room and watch football on Saturdays. sunny has to lay on the couch during the game because sitting up she can only last about an hour. we watched UT and Georgia this past weekend, but thought that the time could have been spent elsewhere because it was not a very good game. but on an up-note, ALABAMA IS 5-0 AND RANKED 6TH IN THE AP POLL!!!!!!!!ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!! (ok, shameless plug over.)
well, i finally got around to taking pictures of the nursery and i have them here for your viewing entertainment. Note that in the picture there are baby clothes that have not been put away because we have not bought a chest of drawers to put in there.

view from the door of the nursery. note, 3 cribs!!! 2 with blue dust ruffles and 1 with purple (that's hers)

matching valance to go with the border. (it is level, the camera was off!!)

these were gifts from our sunday school class given at our shower. i have yet to decide who gets to wear the ALABAMA jumper. i have been asked which boy will wear it and i'm not sure...what if our little girl needs to be the BAMA fan. i'm not sure, but here's an idea, we'll cycle them through it to see who is the right fit!!! football time in our house should be really fun from now on!!!!

Sunny wanted me to put a picture of her feet on here because they are swolen a good bit and she can't wear any of her shoes. if you haven't seen her feet "pre-pregnancy" you will not notice to much, but they are bigger. see for yourself...

sorry this has been so long, but we have a lot to update. please continue to pray for growth and health for mom and the babies. we go to the dr. tuesday for an ultrasound (growth, measurement) so i will update what we find out from it when i get home from work.

well, from all of us here in Hall-land to all of you out there wherever you are...goodnight.

good post - and Im like mags, I gained 35 pounds with one baby! I like all the pics and what you are doing with the nursery and clothes and such...

also, if it makes you feel any better - my sister was born 3 months premature at 26 weeks and she just turned 25 with no real problems, and youve already made it past that stage...

love you all

Oh, your little piggies are more swollen than when I was there and I did notice since I have a pre-preggo reference :) Brando, you did an AWESOME job on the nursery. But, please, please don't put that horrible outfit on any of your children (i.e. the BAMA one) (Big smile inserted here). Hugs and kisses from Martin.

Sunny, You look so great! I mean it, I can't believe you are still as small as you are with three of them in there! And your feet - you should've seen mine after sitting at a comupter for 8 hrs - I can still see your veins & ankles. You're doing great. You're gonna go way past 30 wks I think. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Ok...so she ok'ed the weight reference, but she should never have ok'ed the shopping for feminine hygeine products reference in an earlier blog. That made me shiver. I have been married for 5 years and I still can't go down that aisle. And Stephen still can't say the p word. No...not THAT P word, the one that rhymes with anties. Speaking of which, Oklahoma makes you put down a 50 cent antie at the blackjack table. WHAT A RIP!!
